Dear Shepherd Stallion Parent/Guardian,
We would like to warmly welcome you to the Shepherd Community with an invitation to join us for our New Student and Parent Orientation. This program is also for any brand new to Shepherd incoming 8th Grade Students and Parents as well.
Our New Student Orientation is a fantastic junior high transition program for students to become familiar with Shepherd's campus, meet new friends, many of our teachers, and build community with our new students.
The New Student Orientation will be held at Shepherd on Thursday, July 30th, 2026 from 9am-12pm. Students will meet in the Gymnasium for a Pep Assembly, learn about school policies and procedures, familiarize themselves with the Shepherd campus, receive their schedule, ID, and participate in many fun team-building activities with a focus on developing friendships and support groups with fellow Shepherd students and teachers. We strongly encourage ALL students to attend this New Student Orientation to increase their familiarity with all things Shepherd and ease any possible concerns or anxiety junior high might bring. Parents do NOT accompany their child during this orientation.
We also offer an optional New Parent Orientation for parents in the Auditorium that same day from 10:30am-12:00pm. This is for parents to learn about Shepherd, meet the principals, and learn important information to help support your junior high students.
We invite you to complete the New Student Orientation Registration on the next page ASAP and no later than Wednesday, July 22nd, 2026 so that we may plan accordingly. There is an option for your student to take the bus to WEB Orientation that day (if you live within Shepherd boundary).
